Itinerary
Your journey begins with your arrival at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Nestled in the southwestern corner of Uganda, the park is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many species of birds, as well as half the world’s population of mountain gorillas. After settling into your accommodation, spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the tranquil beauty of the park.
After an early breakfast, attend a briefing by park rangers on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Then, embark on your first trek through the dense, misty forests of Bwindi. The trek can be challenging, with steep and slippery paths, but the reward of coming face-to-face with a family of gorillas in the wild is an experience like no other.
On the third day, embark on a second gorilla trek for another chance to observe these magnificent creatures. Each gorilla trekking experience is unique, offering different insights into the behaviors and dynamics of gorilla families. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the forest to learn about its flora and fauna.
Spend the fourth day immersing yourself in the local culture. Visit the nearby Batwa community, a tribe of pygmies who were the original inhabitants of the Bwindi forest. Learn about their traditional way of life, their deep connection with the forest, and their unique cultural practices.

Location
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda, on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hills are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants.
